EEOC Claims
State and federal law require that certain types of discrimination claims be filed with the appropriate state or federal agency for investigation of these claims. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Texas Workforce Commission – Civil Rights Division investigate charges of discrimination based upon race, age, gender, color, national origin, religion, disability, pregnancy, and retaliation for reporting or serving as a witness to retaliation.
Time limitations are very short to file such claims, and failure to timely file such claims can result in a loss of your right to file such claims.
